Lulu and Lani (our Chinchillas)

Lulu and Lani are curious sisters who bring quiet sweetness to our ohana. Lulu’s name is short for Honolulu, and Lani’s full name is Kalani. They joined us in 2025 after being discovered at a local animal shelter, and they’ve been cherished members of our programs ever since. They live in a cozy space used during counseling and mental wellness sessions, where their soft fur and calm movements often spark moments of connection and wonder. Watching them hop, explore, or enjoy a dust bath offers a peaceful pause in the day. Chinchillas are native to the Andes Mountains in Chile, and wild chinchillas are endangered – making Lulu and Lani extra special ambassadors for care and compassion.
