Free Grief Camps for Children and Teens:
Virginia Weekend Camp: programs for ages 7-17; and parents/guardians at Camp Friendship May 5 - 7

This program serves children ages 7-17 (18 if still in high school) who have lost a parent, guardian, sibling, or friend.
Camp Forget-Me-Not / Camp Erin DC - Wendt Center
Camp Dates: This year, we will hold (3) one day, day camps for different age groups this summer at Capitol Hill Day School/Farren’s Stable (218 D St, SE, Washington, DC).
Camp programming will take place indoors and outdoors. There is no registration fee for camp. Applications are now available to new and returning campers.
SESSION I: (ages 6-9 years old) – June 24, 2023 from 9:00am-6:30pm
SESSION II: (ages 10-12 years old) – July 8, 2023 from 9:00am-6:30pm
SESSION III: (ages 13-17 years old) – July 22, 2023 from 9:00am-6:30pm
Outward Bound 1 Day Program for rising 6-12th graders
8am - 4pm*
Rising 6-12th graders can enjoy a 1 day program at the Outward Bound Course. Transporation will be provided from a northern VA location. Bagged Lunch will also be provided.
Build resilience, team building, leadership and problem solving skills and of course fun! Meet other tweens and teens who have been through loss. Create some new friendships and have fun!

Are you interested in going on the Outward Bound Expedition this summer? Teens ages 10th-12th grades (Rising 9th will be considered on a case by case basis) will spend 7 days (instead of 5 from last year) out in the Appalachian Mountains hiking and canoeing this year.
