3 Sisters Micro Farm is a year-round operation that specializes in growing hydroponic microgreens using organic practices.
Microgreens are grown without the use of soil or fertilizers. Seeds are grown year-round, indoors on coconut coir pads with purified filtered water. The micro farm is located at the beautiful Ohana Equestrian Preserve in Aldie, VA. Whether it’s a scorching hot summer or a below freezing winter, 3 Sisters Micro Farm grows consistent trays full of living microgreens.
Trays of microgreens are delivered still living so that the chef can utilize the entire order. This helps reduce the waste that processing microgreens can create from spoilage. This also allows the nutritional value of the microgreen to stay fully intact until the time it is used.
