WHO WE SERVE
Ohana Preservation Foundation's mission is to serve vulnerable children, their families and caregivers through equine, art and horticultural programs where they can experience well-being in a therapeutic, rural environment.
Through partnerships with credentialed professionals and individuals, Ohana offers thoughtfully planned mental wellness programs for youth navigating difficult life circumstances and mental health challenges. This includes youth suffering from anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation; those currently in juvenile centers, admitted to hospice or have a significant illness, caregivers struggling with compassion fatigue; and those who have experienced trauma, such as the loss of a parent or sibling, human trafficking, and sexual assault.
Located on an 81-acre farm, this enchanting place is possible only with the support of those who believe in the power of nature to mend shattered lives and soothe wounds both seen and unseen. We have found that many who have been traumatized and have lost confidence in people are able to build trust and love through animals and find healing in nature over a traditional office setting.
